Vanes Martirosyan draws inspiration from Ronda Rousey ahead of Gennady Golovkin fight

Two-time boxing title contender Vanes Martirosyan got to have a behind-the-scenes experience of Ronda Rousey’s rise to MMA superstardom. But even before “Rowdy” had her dominant run in the UFC, Martirosyan already knew that it was bound to happen.

”She got 50 stitches in her leg and then she won the next day by armbar … that’s when we knew,” Martirosyan said (via the Los Angeles Times). “She’s like a sister to me.”

“The Nightmare” is currently preparing himself for the biggest fight of his career as he is now tasked to replace Canelo Alvarez and fight the hard-hitting and undefeated Gennady Golovkin for the WBA, IBO, and WBC middleweight titles.
