Former UFC female bantamweight title challenger, Valentina Shevchenko will get a fresh start in the newly-founded women’s flyweight class. Combate reports that ‘Bullet’ will take on undefeated newcomer, Priscila Cachoeira on a Fight Night card in February.
Shevchenko (14-3) dropped a split decision to bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in September, at UFC 215. The loss snapped a two-fight winning streak, with victories over the likes of Julianna Pena and Holly Holm.
Priscila Cachoeira (8-0) will try her luck in the UFC after four decision wins and four TKO wins on Brazil’s regional circuit.
