A UFC welterweight could be in hot water.
USADA has flagged Muslim Salikhov for a potential violation of the UFC’s anti-doping policy, UFC officials announced in a statement Friday afternoon. The potential violation stems from an out-of-competition drug test administered by USADA, the UFC’s anti-doping partner, on June 7 in Russia.
“USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Muslim Salikhov,” the statement read. “Under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed.
