Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. recently requested a Russian passport from president Vladimir Putin during a short meeting in Crimea.
It would seem that former UFC fighter Jeff Monson was not the only American combat sports athlete who requested Russian citizenship when given the opportunity. Yesterday, boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. suggested a similar interest during a meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Crimea.
During a discussion over tea, Jones Jr. revealed that he would be interested in a Russian citizenship because it would benefit him tremendously for business-related purposes.
