Urijah Faber To Retire From MMA After UFC on FOX 22

Faber made the announcement Monday on “The MMA Hour.” The 37-year-old will be calling it quits in front of his hometown of Sacramento.

“I’ve been kind of waiting for this, and this is actually going to be my last fight,” Faber said. “And it just feels right to do it in [Sacramento] in this new area. It just feels like the right time and the right place.”

Faber owns an impressive 33-10 professional record. He was the face of the WEC as the promotion’s featherweight champion before Jose Aldo came along to rule the throne.

Faber won 21 of his first 22 scraps en route to capturing the WEC title.
