“The California Kid” Urijah Faber has been hinting at a return for quite some time now, and he is indeed ending his retirement after two-and-a-half years away.
According to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, the Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Famer will return at UFC Sacramento to take on Ricky Simon.
Faber hasn’t fought since December 2016 where he beat Brad Pickett by unanimous decision, in Sacramento. The win ended his two-fight losing streak, which came at the hands of Jimmie Rivera and Dominick Cruz. Over his career, the 40-year-old has beaten the likes of Cruz, Raphael Assuncao, and Jens Pulver among others.
