Urijah Faber needed just 46-seconds to put himself into title contention on Saturday night after he dispatched Ricky Simon in his first fight back from retirement.
The jaw-dropping finish couldn’t have come at a better time considering Faber just heard his name called by reigning UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo after he claimed the title with a win over Marlon Moraes in June.
Faber was always one of the biggest names in the bantamweight division when he was active prior to his retirement and now considering the way he returned, it’s entirely possible he gets the attention of the UFC matchmakers for a potential title shot.
