Update: ‘Cyborg’ Cited for Misdemeanor Battery in Magana Scuffle, Could Face 6 Months in Jail

The physical confrontation between “Cyborg” Cristiane Justino and Angela Magana may have started and ended in a heartbeat but the fallout is just beginning.

Justino, 31, has been cited for misdemeanor battery after her May 21 altercation with Magana. TMZ Sports was first to report the news on Monday afternoon, while MMAJunkie's additional reporting confirmed details of the incident and citation with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

This past Sunday at approximately 2:30 p.m. PT, during the Ultimate Fighting Championship's Athlete Retreat in Las Vegas, a feud that began on social media between Justino, the former Invicta Fighting Championships and Strikeforce women's featherweight champion, and UFC strawweight Angela Magana turned physical when Justino confronted Magana and punched her before the altercation was broken up by witnesses.
