The rising welterweight will now take on undefeated newcomer Luigi Vendramini, who replaces Belal Muhammad at next week’s Fight Night event in Brazil, sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by Combate.
Muhammad addressed his withdrawal on social media, citing an injury.
Vendramini makes his Octagon debut after racking up a perfect 7-0 record with seven finishes. The Brazilian-Italian lightweight, who has been training at Team Alpha Male, will move up to 170 pounds for the challenge.
Zaleski (19-5) is looking to score his sixth victory in a row under the UFC banner in Sao Paulo.
