Unbeaten lightweight Andrew Holbrook (9-0) will make his UFC debut at UFC on Fox 16, filling in for the injured Erik Koch (14-4) against Ramsey Nijem (9-5). UFC officials announced Holbrook as Koch’s replacement on Monday.
Holbrook last fought on March 28, winning by first-round submission. In fact, all of the Indianapolis native’s nine wins have been by submission. He’s only been taken past the first round once in his career. He’ll look to make an impression in his promotional debut.
Nijem hasn’t fought since August 2014. He’s coming off two bonus-winning performances and hopes to get back on the winning track when he faces the UFC newcomer.
