Crazy things tend to happen under the mixed martial arts (MMA) umbrella. Flash knockouts, suffocating submissions, and head-splitting cuts are just a few unpredictable results produced by the in-cage madness.
But along the way, MMA sometimes takes a backseat to the unscripted terror that lurks around in everyday life. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's Bantamweight contender Valentina Shevchenko discovered these troubles the hard way when she found herself caught in the middle of a restaurant shooting last month in Peru.
Shevchencko, better known by her now ironic moniker "Bullet," escaped with zero injuries, but her manager was shot and hospitalized while attempting to stop the insanity.
