“Pedrita” suffered a meniscus and ACL tear in her UFC debut, and had surgery in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to fix the issues, PRVT head coach Gilliard Parana told MMA Fighting.
Surgery was a success and Cachoeira is expected to be cleared to train again in six months, Parana said.
The flyweight entered the Octagon for the first time after building a 8-0 record in the Brazilian circuit, but suffered a one-sided beating by the hands of Valentina Shevchenko in the co-main event of UFC Belem on Feb. 3. Cachoeira injured her right knee seconds into the bout.
