Brandao was arrested Friday and hit with on four felony counts, including one for assault with great bodily harm and three for assault with a deadly weapon following a Thursday morning strip club brawl.
Brandao was released from the Metropolitan Detention Center on Saturday after posting a $15,000 bond. The UFC issued a generic, and all too familiar, statement shortly after the incident hit the Internet.
“We are aware that UFC featherweight Diego Brandao was arrested Friday following an altercation at a business establishment in Albuquerque, N.M. We are in the process of gathering more information at this time,” the UFC expressed.
