UFC welterweight Tim Means suspended six months following USADA settlement

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight veteran Tim Means was recently pulled from his Donald Cerrone fight on FOX Sports 1, scheduled for the UFC Fight Night 83 mixed martial arts (MMA) event earlier this year in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The culprit?

But Means was adamant he was not juicing or trying to gain a competitive edge, insisting he never heard of Ostarine and that his violation came out of left field (more on that here). In addition, the "Dirty Bird" raised a few questions about the validity of his urine sample.

The substance -- a banned androgen modulator with anabolic properties -- was eventually traced back to a tainted supplement.
