UFC welterweight Kyle Noke announces retirement from MMA

Long-time UFC fighter Kyle Noke is walking away from MMA competition.

The Australian welterweight made the announcement through his Twitter account on Saturday night following his decision loss to Omari Akhmedov at UFC Fight Night 101 in Melbourne.

Thank you to the @ufc and all the fans. It's time to hang up the gloves. Ive had a blessed life doing what I love. I Wouldn't change a thing

Noke, 36, began fighting professionally in 2002, and compiled an impressive record of 16-4-1 before making his way to the big stage – the UFC.
