And “No Love” got a chance to scout his opponent live, in person, when “Dominator” completed his trilogy against Team Alpha Male captain Urijah Faber in the UFC 199 co-headliner last June.
Cruz (22-1) returned from his extended injury layoff to capture back-to-back wins over TJ Dillashaw and the aforementioned Faber. Garbrandt (10-0), meanwhile, slugged his way to a division title shot by planishing Takeya Mizugaki.
