Shooto Brazil 54 aired live on UFC Fight Pass for the first time on Sunday night, and featured two Octagon veterans on the main card at Rio de Janeiro’s Hebraica Club.
Luiz Cane, who fought for the UFC from 2007 to 2012, dispatched Felipe Silva in 49 seconds. Silva, who took the fight on a week’s notice, was knocked down early in the bout after eating a left hand. "Banha" kept working on the ground and pound until the referee waved off the fight.
"The next step is to get back in the gym on Monday and train hard to help my friends that will fight," said Cane, who improved to 4-1 since his UFC release.
