UFC veteran Pat Healy announces retirement after knockout loss at ACB

“Bam Bam” is hanging up the gloves.

Pat Healy, a UFC and Strikeforce veteran, announced his retirement Saturday, hours after a first-round knockout loss against Magomed Raisov at ACB in Russia. Healy posted the announcement on his social media.

“Disappointing performance to say the least,” Healy wrote. “I thought about this a lot recently and that was my last fight. I can no longer compete at a high level. It’s been a hell of a ride. I’ve gone places and seen things I never thought I would.”

Healy, 34, is a 16-year veteran of mixed martial arts.
