Former UFC fighter and Cage Warriors champion Nicolas Dalby got back to his winning ways with a tremendous head kick to submission win over Roberto Allegretti on Saturday night at Cage Warriors 96.
“Sharpshooter” landed a signature head kick and sent his Italian foe down in the first minute of the second round. Somehow, Allegretti sprang back up to his feet, but was rendered unconscious a few seconds later when Dalby went palm-to-palm on a rear-naked choke.
With the win, Dalby — a UFC veteran whose journey back from a hellacious 18-month layoff was recently profiled by MMA Fighting’s Chuck Mindenhall — rebounded from a split decision loss to Carlo Pedersoli Jr.
