UFC veteran Karlos Vemola has been reportedly sentenced to one year in jail for running illegal cannabis farms.
Former UFC fighter Karlos Vemola has been sentenced to one year in jail for his involvement in multiple illegal cannabis farms in Europe, according to a report from International Business Times.
Vemola, his former partner, Sarah Sharp, and Sharp's parents, Linda Sharp and Terrance Byman -- the four individuals tied to the case -- were convicted at St. Albans crown court in Hertfordshire, England. All four suspects pled guilty to conspiring to produce cannabis.
During a raid in January 2014, police found "skunk cannabis worth £18,200 (over $25,000 USD), as well as UV lighting, ducting and plastic sheeting" at one of the properties.
