Three fighters came in heavy at Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 6.
Lightweight veteran Beneil Dariush weighed in at 158 pounds for his lightweight bout opposite Scott Holtzman scheduled for Saturday’s UFC card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, two pounds over the lightweight limit (including a one-pound allowance). And in a rare occurrence, welterweight fighters Tim Means and Laureano Staropoli both failed to make weight for their scheduled 170-pound bout, with Means tipping the scales at 172.5 pounds and Staropoli at 174.5.
It is not yet known if the bouts will proceed as catchweights and if so, what purse penalties Dariush, Means, and Staropoli could potentially face.
