Mackenzie Dern’s submission game is money. Literally.
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace earned her third UFC Performance of the Night bonus in her past four appearances on Saturday with a surgical first-round armbar submission of the returning Nina Nunes. Dern earned an extra $50,000 for her efforts, as did fellow performance bonus winner Mateusz Gamrot and Fight of the Night winners Julian Marquez and Sam Alvey.
Gamrot, a champion at both 145 and 155 pounds in Poland’s KSW promotion, scored his first UFC victory and first UFC finish in his lightweight bout against Scott Holtzman.
