This is the UFC Vegas 22 live blog for Derek Brunson vs. Kevin Holland, the middleweight headliner for Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
Brunson makes his 18th walk to the octagon and attempts to halt the rise of another fast-rising contender. In his previous performance, he did just that by outworking young phenom Edmen Shahbazyan en route to a third-round TKO this past August. That extended his current winning streak to three fights, which followed a two-bout skid – including a quick loss to current champ Israel Adesanya – that again delayed his dreams of getting a shot at the belt.
