Unsurprisingly, heavyweight headliners Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis had zero issues with the scale Friday.
The same could not be said for a quartet of fighters competing at Saturday’s UFC Vegas 19 event.
At Friday’s official weigh-ins, Rafael Alves set the record for the biggest weight miss in UFC history, coming in at 157.5 pounds, 11.5 pounds over the limit (including one-pound allowance) for his featherweight bout with Patrick Sabatini. The previous record was held by Anthony Johnson, who weighed in at 197 pounds for a 185-pound bout (11 pounds over, including one-pound allowance) with Vitor Belfort at UFC 142 in January 2012.
