A flurry of hand injuries plagued the fighters who competed this past weekend at UFC Vegas 15.
Seven fighters who fought on Saturday’s card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas are facing potential six-month suspensions, the majority of them related to hand issues.
Parker Porter, Bill Algeo, Norma Dumont, Ashlee Evans-Smith, and Rachael Ostovich will all require x-rays on injured hands and clearance from a physician before being permitted to fight again. Otherwise, they will be suspended until May of next year.
Also facing six-month suspensions are Takashi Sato, who suffered a left orbital fracture that requires clearance from an OMF (oral and maxillofacial) or ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor, or a plastic surgeon, and Jonathan Pearce, who requires an X-ray and clearance from a physician for a foot injury.
