Ed Herman pulled off a miraculous comeback to get a win at UFC Vegas 10 but his victory didn’t come without controversy.
It appeared the former Ultimate Fighter season 3 veteran was on his way to being finished in the second round after opponent Mike Rodriguez landed a crushing knee to the body.
Instead of a stoppage, referee Chris Tognoni paused the action for a low blow while giving Herman time to recover. Replays showed the knee didn’t land anywhere near the groin but there was no way to change the referee’s decision so the fight was allowed to continue.
