UFC light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson is set to headline the promotion’s return to Sweden on Sunday, May 28th, as he fights fellow ex-title challenger Glover Teixeira. Before we see Gustafsson vs. Teixeira, let’s flashback to March 8th, 2014, when Gustafsson recorded his most recent finish to date.
Gustafsson was originally scheduled to fight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the UFC London main event — this was actually the first live UFC event on Fight Pass — but predictably Lil’ Nog wasn’t healthy and had to withdraw. In stepped Jimi Manuwa on short notice, and while Manuwa was looking for the upset win, Gustafsson had other ideas and stopped the Englishman early in round 2.
