After weeks of speculation, Zuffa LLC has indeed sold the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
According to a report in the New York Times, the sale to WME-IMG could be made official as soon as Monday, less than 48 hours after the UFC completed one of the biggest events in its history. The rumored price tag is reported to be in the neighborhood of $4 billion.
UFC President Dane White will remain in his current role, while Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta will retain minority interests in the company. Lorenzo Fertitta will reportedly step down as UFC CEO once the deal is finalized.
