Facing a veteran of 20 Octagon appearances, “D-Rod” put on an impressive performance against Tim Means before finishing him with a guillotine choke in the second round.
It was actually the fists of Rodriguez that did most of the damage as he had Means on the backfoot early with his furious punches. He wobbled Means at the end of the first with a left hand at the buzzer and it looked like “The Dirty Bird” never recovered.
Rodriguez kept up the pressure in round two, hurting Means with strikes against the fence and setting him up for the fight-ending submission at the 3:37 mark of the period.
