The UFC returns to Ohio’s capital city of Columbus for the first time in 10 years with a Fight Night card scheduled for March 28.
The event takes place at Nationwide Arena, which also serves as the home to the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets. The UFC announced the event Thursday morning.
Ohio has been a staple for producing a number of top fighters competing inside the Octagon, but the UFC has not made the Buckeye State a priority for several years. The promotion did go to Cleveland for UFC 203, which featured local favorite Stipe Miocic in his first heavyweight title defense against Alistair Overeem.
