Middleweight Costas Philippou has been pulled from the UFC rankings. What could that possibly mean?
Costas Philippou is coming off a tough loss to Gegard Mousasi at UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs. Faber in Manila in May. The unanimous decision setback put him at 1-3 in his last 4 after he'd previously rattled off five straight victories en route to a top 10 ranking.
On Tuesday, the UFC's rankings page changed again with the removal of Philippou from the middleweight top 15. He was previously placed 12th but now Dan Henderson has moved into that spot, with Robert Whittaker, Roan Carneiro, and Derek Brunson each rising one spot.
