The UFC’s official poster for its UFC Austin show on Feb. 18 features the longtime fan favorite at the forefront, looking like he’s a weight class bigger than his upcoming opponent Yancy Medeiros:
Cerrone and Medeiros are on a collision course, but their careers are moving in opposite directions. The 34-year-old Cerrone (32-10, 1 NC) has lost three straight fights after finishing his first four opponents at 170 pounds. He has spent the majority of his career competing at lightweight.
Another former 155er, Medeiros (15-4, 1 NC) has won three straight. That run includes a Fight of the Year candidate this past December against Alex Oliveira, which Medeiros won by third-round TKO.
