Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is no stranger to thinning its roster from time-to-time to make space for new talent and/or part ways with fighters who just don't pan out.
However, the promotion's latest firing is a bit of a head-scratcher and may raise an eyebrow or three.
According to MMA Fighting, Jared Rosholt was released by the ZUFFA-owned company following his loss to Roy Nelson, which went down at UFC Fight Night 82 back in February.
The kicker?
Rosholt's loss was his first in four appearances, as he had currently been riding high with an impressive three-fight win streak.
