As of Thursday, Conor McGregor is free to pursue his next UFC fight after cutting a plea deal to avoid jail time for his destructive bus attack during UFC 223 fight week. McGregor plead guilty to one count of disorderly conduct, had the other felony charges dropped, and won’t have a criminal record or anything to impede his travel to and from the United States.
If the minimal punishment McGregor faced from the court system irks you in any way, then don’t expect the UFC to take further action. UFC president Dana White spoke to media after Friday’s UFC on FOX 30 weigh-ins, and in his eyes, McGregor has already dealt with quite a bit of punishment.
