UFC Portland: By the Numbers

If only John Lineker could make weight.

The heavy-handed Brazilian garnered arguably the most significant victory of his career on Saturday night, as he captured a split-decision triumph over two-time flyweight title challenger John Dodson in the UFC Fight Night Portland headliner.

While Dodson frustrated his Brazilian opponent with his speed and movement, “Hands of Stone” was able track down the Jackson-Wink MMA representative consistently enough to land some of his patented powerful hooks. The victory was marred, of course, by Lineker’s performance one day prior on the scales, as he missed weight for the fifth time in his UFC career.
