Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) said goodbye to light heavyweight sluggers Rafael Cavalcante and Daniel Sarafian this past weekend, according to a report from Olimpo MMA, after both fighters suffered losses back in February.
Cavalcante (12-7, 1 NC) -- the only person to beat Yoel Romero (besides USADA) -- once held the light heavyweight strap under the Strikeforce banner. Unfortunately, "Feijao" was unable to replicate that success after crossing over, managing a meager 1-4 record and getting knocked out twice in the process.
Sarafian (9-6) didn't fare much better. Once a highly-touted prospect on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil," the former finalist scraped together a 2-4 run inside the Octagon.
