The UFC on FOX 26 official weigh-ins are in the books, and unfortunately we had a couple of incidents in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Co-headliner Josh Emmett was 2.5 pounds over the featherweight limit for his short-notice fight against Ricardo Lamas, so he’ll be fined 20% of his purse, which will go to Lamas.
On the preliminary card, newcomer Pietro Menga didn’t even show up at the weigh-ins, as he was well over the flyweight limit for his matchup against Tim Elliott. He is currently at a local hospital.
Menga told MMA Fighting’s Guillherme Cruz that he “got to 131 and the doctors wouldn’t let me continue cutting weight due to health risks,” and that Elliott “was offered the fight still with weight difference and declined.
