On the UFC on FOX prelims, the UFC’s #15 light heavyweight Jan Blachowicz earned a hard fought unanimous decision over the #14 Jared Cannonier. Before that, Julian Marquez showed up big time in his UFC debut, putting on an epic war for the Winnipeg fans, which resulted in a 2nd round submission of Darren Stewart. Chad Laprise overcame an early knockdown to stop Galore Bofando with ground strikes in the final minute of the opening round. Also on the undercard, it took less than 60 seconds for Nordine Taleb to run through Danny Roberts, landing a sweet head kick and following up with a crisp cross to seal the deal.
