UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson defended his title for the tenth time in the UFC on FOX 24 main event in Kansas City, Mo., on Saturday night against Wilson Reis, tying Anderson Silva’s consecutive title defense record.
“Mighty Mouse” put up one of his most impressive victories to date, outclassing and overwhelming his Brazilian opponent. Johnson has run through the majority of his flyweight title challengers, but arguably not as much as he did against Reis.
Reis entered the biggest fight of his career a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, but he was unable to score any takedowns against the pound-for-pound king.
