SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Cole Miller spent much of the buildup to his UFC on FOX 22 fight with Mizuto Hirota publicly expressing his pleasure that UFC brass wouldn’t meet with him.
Perhaps that energy would have been better spent preparing for the fight instead. Miller, a longtime veteran who has been around since The Ultimate Fighter 5, put in a listless performance in losing a unanimous decision on Saturday. The judges’ scores were 30-26 and a pair of 30-27s.
Miller tagged Hirota hard early in the opening round and had him running, but wasn’t able to capitalize.
