With career 30 finishes between them, the UFC on FOX 18 welterweight fight between Jake Ellenberger and Tarec Saffiedine looked like an exciting showdown on paper.
In practice, of course, it doesn't always play out that way. A tentative struggle between the duo resulted in a jeering crowd at Newark's Prudential Center. In the end, Saffiedine, the final Strikeforce welterweight champ, got the nod with 29-28 scores across the board.
Ellenberger got the nod in the opening round, as he belted Saffiedine with a big right hand as they broke a clinch.
