Charles Oliveira gave Myles Jury a reason to reconsider his decision to invade the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s featherweight division.
Oliveira -- who missed weight for the match by more than four pounds -- became the first man to finish Jury, as the Macaco Gold Team standout submitted him with a first-round guillotine choke at UFC on Fox 17 on Saturday at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. Jury (15-2, 6-2 UFC) tapped out 3:05 into round one, his welcome at 145 pounds a rude one.
The 26-year-old Oliveira (21-5, 9-5 UFC) executed a takedown inside the first 90 seconds, wheeled to the Power MMA Team rep’s back and ensnared Jury in the guillotine when he rose to his feet.
