Francis Ngannou and Luiz Henrique made their respective Octagon debuts to kick off the UFC on FOX 17 preliminary card, but it was the hulking 6'4" Frenchman whose first bout in the UFC would end in a victory. Despite losing the 1st round, Ngannou (6-1) responded well in the 2nd round (albeit aided by questionable breaks/separations by the referee) and soon enough the Brazilian started to tire. Ngannou capitalized and showcased his heavy hands, of which the left uppercut dropped Henrique and put him out cold. See the finish for yourself:
R2: Henrique re-establishes the same position after the reset but this time Ngannou lands a knee, circles off and then thumps Henrique with a nasty one-two.
