Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza was planning to step in the Octagon at UFC on FOX 15 on Saturday night opposite fellow middleweight contender Yoel Romero. That changed just one week ago when Romero fell out of the fight due to injury and a man Jacare had defeated before, Chris Camozzi, stepped in to fill the void.
Having been submitted by Jacare in the first round of their first fight, Camozzi accepted this fight looking to exact a measure of revenge, but it wasn’t to be.
Camozzi opened with a couple low kicks to Jacare’s lead leg, possibly looking to soften his stance, but it was the Brazilian that landed the first stinging blows.
