Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley didn’t get his win bonus on Saturday night after falling to Gilbert Burns in the main event, but he still walked away with the biggest payday for anybody on the card.
On Monday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the salaries with Woodley leading all fighters after banking $200,000 for his fight against Burns.
Woodley stood to make an additional $150,000 for a win bonus but he ultimately lost a lopsided decision over five rounds. Taking home $200,000 still helped Woodley lead all fighter salaries before post-fight bonuses were paid out but it was dramatically less than what he earned in his last title bout.
