Alistair Overeem was by far the highest-paid athlete competing at UFC on ESPN 8 this past Saturday night after “The Demolition Man” earned nearly four-times as much as his next closest competitor.
The Florida State Boxing Commission released the full list of salaries on Monday following an action-packed night of fights from Jacksonville.
Overeem led all athletes with a $400,000 payday following his second round TKO against Walt Harris in the main event. Harris earned $75,000 for his part in the UFC on ESPN 8 headliner.
Overeem, who turned 40 just minutes after his win, has now competed in 65 professional fights during his MMA career including 18 bouts in the UFC.
