A main event matchup between Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker promised excitement and unsurprisingly the two lightweight stars walked out of Saturday’s show with the highest paydays.
Poirier’s disclosed earnings came in at $300,000 after winning a five-round unanimous decision over Hooker in the UFC on ESPN 12 headliner, which took place at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. Hooker earned $110,000 in show money and both fighters took home a $50,000 bonus for winning the evening’s Fight of the Night award.
Other than Poirier and Hooker, co-main event winner Mike Perry was the only other fighter to clear six-figures as his disclosed pay was $180,000.
