The 30-fight veteran — who has competed at both 170 pounds and 155 pounds in the UFC — came in at 158 pounds at Friday’s weigh-ins for UFC on ESPN 11: Blaydes vs. Volkov, two pounds over the lightweight limit (including a one-pound allowance).
This is the second time Camacho failed to hit his weight mark in the UFC. He previously came in at 160 pounds for a lightweight bout against Damien Brown on Nov. 18, 2017.
Camacho’s opponent Justin Jaynes successfully made weight, despite accepting this bout on two-days’ notice as a replacement after Camacho’s originally scheduled opponent Matt Frevola was forced to withdraw from Saturday’s card due to one of Frevola’s teammates testing positive for COVID-19.
