Cain Velasquez is looking at a potential six-month suspension following his loss to Francis Ngannou at UFC on ESPN 1 last weekend.
The Arizona Department of Gaming released a full list of medical suspensions to MMAFighting.com on Wednesday. Velasquez is facing a potential 180-day sit unless he receives medical clearance. The Arizona commission does not disclose specific reasons for each fighter’s medical suspension.
UFC on ESPN 1 took place at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on Sunday and saw Ngannou defeat Velasquez via technical knockout just 26 seconds into their heavyweight headliner.
