Max Holloway celebrated his 29th birthday on December 4. He’s spent nearly nine of those years battling under the UFC banner. While his first contest with the promotion, a February 2012 first-round submission defeat to Dustin Poirier, did not end well, Holloway bounced back in his second contest, a decision win over Pat Schilling and inserted his name in the UFC featherweight record book. Since then he picked up and defended the promotion’s 145-pound title. Holloway has also totally rewritten the UFC featherweight record book.
On Saturday, the former UFC featherweight champion looks to add to his legacy as perhaps the most accomplished fighter in the history of the 145-pound weight class, he also looks to end his two-fight losing skid when he faces Calvin Kattar in the main event of UFC on ABC.
